Terms of Use: Digital Assets

These terms cover the JoLoCity Digital Assets pages and your purchases of JoLoCity printables, spreadsheets and document templates. By using these pages or buying a product, you agree to them. If you buy a source-code template (like Dwellio), our Software Terms of Use also apply. For anything about the template itself, the software terms win.

"JoLoCity", "we" and "us" mean JoLoCity. "You" means the person or business using the site or buying a product.

1. This page is a showcase, not a store

The Digital Assets page shows the products we sell or plan to sell. Items marked coming soon aren't available yet, and details may change before release. When a product is available, its buttons take you to the external store where you can buy it.

2. Purchases go through third-party stores

We don't process payments ourselves. Purchases are handled by third-party stores such as Polar, Gumroad and Etsy. When you buy, you also agree to that store's own terms and privacy policy, and the store handles payment, receipts, tax collection where applicable, and download delivery. Prices are shown on the store's product page and at checkout.

3. The license decides how you can use a product

What you can do with a product you buy is set by its license. Printables, spreadsheets and document templates use the Digital Assets License. Source-code templates use the JoLoCity Standard License. If these terms and a license disagree, the license wins.

4. Refunds

Refunds follow our Digital Assets Refund Policy. If you bought on Etsy, the refund is issued through Etsy under Etsy's rules. Source-code templates follow the Software Refund Policy.

5. Not professional advice

Spreadsheets, forms, checklists and guidebook templates are general-purpose tools. They aren't legal, tax, accounting or financial advice. Rules for rentals, inspections and record-keeping vary by location, so check what applies to you. Nothing in a JoLoCity product is a promise that you meet any law or regulation.

6. Acceptable use of the site

Please don't break the law using the site, try to gain unauthorized access to it, disrupt it (for example with overloading scrapers or malware), or copy its content, product images or branding as your own. We may block access for anyone who misuses the site.

7. Our content

The site's text, design, logos, product images and other content belong to JoLoCity. Names of third-party stores and technologies belong to their owners.

8. No warranty

The site and products are provided "as is" and "as available", without warranty of any kind. We try to keep product information accurate, but we don't guarantee that every detail is current or error-free.

9. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent the law allows, JoLoCity is not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for lost profits, revenue or data, arising from your use of the site or our products. In any case, our total liability for any claim relating to a product is limited to the amount you paid for that product.

10. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time and will change the "Last updated" date when we do. Changes apply from that date. Purchases you've already made remain covered by the license that came with them.
