Digital Assets License

This license covers JoLoCity printables, spreadsheets and document templates. Source-code templates (like Dwellio) follow the JoLoCity Standard License and the other /software policies. It's written in plain English. If anything is unclear, email info@jolocity.com before you buy.
Who this is between
- Licensor: JoLoCity ("we", "us").
- Licensee: the person or business that bought the product ("you").
The "product" means the files you downloaded after purchase, including any designs, spreadsheets, documents, source code and instructions.
1. One buyer: personal use or one business
When you buy a product, you get a non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use it yourself, or for one business: yours or one client's. Using it at home and in that same business is fine. The license belongs to the buyer and can't be passed on.
Source-code templates (like Dwellio) are covered by the JoLoCity Standard License instead. If the two ever differ for a template, the Standard License wins.
2. You may edit and customize
You may edit text, colors, layouts, formulas and code to fit your use. There's no limit on how much you customize a product for yourself or that one business.
3. Printing printables
You may print printables as many times as you need for your own properties and your own guests or tenants. For example, you can print a welcome book for each of your rentals, put signage and Wi-Fi QR cards in your units, or hand inspection forms to your tenants.
Printing for other hosts, landlords or businesses, or selling printed copies, isn't covered. Each of them needs their own license.
4. What you may not do
You may not:
- Resell the product or its files, whether edited or not.
- Redistribute or share the files, for example by emailing them to other people, posting them online, uploading them to shared drives or marketplaces, or including them in a giveaway.
- Sublicense the product or grant anyone else rights to it.
- Include it in another product for sale or free distribution, such as a template, bundle, kit or course, whether on its own or combined with other material.
- Claim the design or code as your own original work.
Your guests and tenants can see and use the printed copies you give them. That doesn't count as sharing the files.
5. What you own
You own your own content (your property details, photos, text, data and code changes). We own the original product and keep all rights this license doesn't expressly give you.
6. Updates
You get lifetime updates to the product you purchased, delivered through the store where you bought it. Updates are covered by this same license.
7. Support
Email info@jolocity.com if a file won't open or something doesn't work as described.
8. No warranty
Products are provided "as is", without warranty of any kind, express or implied, including any warranty of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose or non-infringement. Spreadsheets and forms are general-purpose tools, not legal, tax or financial advice; check that they meet the rules where you operate.
9. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent the law allows, JoLoCity is not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for lost profits, revenue or data, arising from your use of a product. In any case, our total liability is limited to the amount you paid for the product.
10. Ending the license
If you break these terms, this license ends automatically and you must stop using and delete the product. Sections 5, 8 and 9 continue to apply after the license ends.
